The annual Summer Exhibition from the Royal Academy starts in June and runs through the summer until late August. It is 'largest open submission contemporary art exhibition in the world', now in its 242nd year.

The exhibition, which attracts a high volume of entrants (11,000 last year) showcases and helps sell the work of new and established artists in a wide range of media, including: Painting, Photography, Printmaking, and Film. This year's event has a theme of ‘Raw’.
